About the ranked lists

Each list is a countdown, from the last entry to number one, with a page for every player on it; the lists here run to 20, 25, and 30 entries. Every slide pairs the list's own write-up with the player's career numbers from the site's statistics and links to the full profile. The order of a list reflects its editorial criteria, set out in the list's introduction, rather than a single statistic.

For rankings built on a single measure, the leaderboards rank players by career and single-season totals, the PIV boards by the site's era-adjusted value and the position pages by games played.
