Baseball Data Hub has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comments, so it does not ask for your name or email. Visits are measured with Google Analytics, and most pages carry Google AdSense advertising; both set cookies and receive information about your visit, as described below.

Analytics
The site's pages load the Google Analytics tag. It records the page viewed, the referring page, the device and browser type and an approximate location derived from the IP address. The site also sends a few engagement events of its own: how far down a page you scrolled, how long the page stayed open, and when you left it. These figures are used in aggregate to see which pages are read and which are not; they are not used to identify individual visitors.
Advertising
Pages that are open to search engines load Google AdSense Auto ads, which choose where to place ads on the page. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized advertising in Google’s ad settings. Pages kept out of search results, such as the error page and the smallest player pages, carry no ad code.
Search and tools
The player search box works inside your browser: it downloads a list of player names once and matches what you type locally, so your search terms are not sent anywhere. The Advanced Game Finder is the exception; its filters are sent to the site's game-search service to return matching games.
Hosting and email
The site is served as static pages by a hosting provider, whose servers keep standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and operations. If you email admin@baseballdatahub.com, the message and your address are used only to reply and to act on your request.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from recording visits. Questions about this policy go to admin@baseballdatahub.com. Changes to it will be posted on this page.
