MLB Players Choice Outstanding Player

About the MLB Players Choice Outstanding Player list

Winners of the MLB Players Choice Outstanding Player are listed from 2024 back to 1992. Barry Bonds and Dennis Eckersley head the list chronologically, in 1992. The most recent 2024 rows name Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani. No one appears more often than Alex Rodriguez, listed in 1996, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2007. Other repeat winners include Barry Bonds (1992, 1993, 2001, and 2002), Albert Pujols (2003, 2008, and 2009), and Shohei Ohtani (2021, 2023, and 2024). Alex Rodriguez held the award in each season from 2001 to 2003. The League column shows separate American and National League winners from 1992 on. No club turns up in the MLB Players Choice Outstanding Player Team column as often as the Texas Rangers. Earlier recent winners were Ronald Acuña and Shohei Ohtani (2023), Paul Goldschmidt and Aaron Judge (2022), Bryce Harper and Shohei Ohtani (2021), Jose Abreu and Freddie Freeman (2020), and Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout (2019). The MLB Players Choice Outstanding Player list is densest between 2010 and 2019. Dennis Eckersley (1992) heads the AL side of the list. The first National League row is Barry Bonds in 1992.
