TSN Rookie Player of the Year

About the TSN Rookie Player of the Year list

Baseball Data Hub's records of the TSN Rookie Player of the Year begin in 1963 and reach 2003. The earliest winners were Pete Rose and Pete Ward. The most recent 2003 rows name Jody Gerut and Scott Podsednik. No player appears on the TSN Rookie Player of the Year list more than once. The League column shows separate American and National League winners from 1963 on. By the Team column, the Chicago White Sox appears more often than any other club on the TSN Rookie Player of the Year list. Going back from there, the list reads Eric Hinske and Brad Wilkerson (2002), Albert Pujols and Ichiro Suzuki (2001), Rafael Furcal and Mark Quinn (2000), Carlos Beltran and Preston Wilson (1999), and Ben Grieve and Todd Helton (1998). By decade, the years 1990 and 1999 hold the most TSN Rookie Player of the Year entries. Pete Ward (1963) heads the AL side of the list. Pete Rose (1963) heads the NL side of the list. Each name links to the player's profile, where the TSN Rookie Player of the Year also appears in the honors table.
