Art Schallock

Art Schallock was a professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1951 to 1955. Born in 1924, Schallock made his debut during a transitional period in baseball, as the sport was moving away from the post-war era and beginning to embrace a new wave of player talent. Over the course of his four-year career, he played for two teams, finishing with a career record of 6-7 and an earned run average (ERA) of 4.02. His ability to strike out batters was notable, as he recorded 77 strikeouts and also notched 1 save. Schallock was known for his competitive spirit on the mound and contributed to his teams during a time when pitching rotations were becoming increasingly important.
