About the Babe Ruth Award list

Winners of the Babe Ruth Award are listed from 2023 back to 1949. The earliest winner was Joe Page. The most recent 2023 row names Adolis Garcia. No one appears more often than Jack Morris, listed in 1984 and 1991. The list also repeats Sandy Koufax (1963 and 1965). More Babe Ruth Award winners played for the New York Yankees than for any other team in the table. The years just before that belong to Jeremy Peña (2022), Freddie Freeman (2021), Randy Arozarena (2020), Juan Soto and Stephen Strasburg (2019), and David Price (2018). The Babe Ruth Award was shared in 2001, 2017, and 2019. Entries in the Babe Ruth Award Notes column include P, 3B, SS, OF, RP, DH, C, 1B, and 2B. More Babe Ruth Award rows fall between 2010 and 2019 than in any other ten-year stretch of the list. The first American League row is Joe Page in 1949. Dusty Rhodes (1954) heads the NL side of the list. Follow Adolis Garcia or any other winner to a profile that lists the Babe Ruth Award by year.
