Reliever of the Month

About the Reliever of the Month list

Baseball Data Hub's records of the Reliever of the Month begin in 2005 and reach 2025. The earliest winners were Ryan Dempster, Trevor Hoffman, Chad Cordero, and Brad Lidge. For 2025, the table lists Mason Miller, Cade Smith, Edwin Diaz, and Jhoan Duran. No one appears more often than Edwin Diaz, listed in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2025. Other repeat winners include Josh Hader (2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022), Emmanuel Clase (2021, 2022, and 2024), and Aroldis Chapman (2012, 2017, 2019, and 2025). Josh Hader held the award in each season from 2021 to 2025. The League column shows separate American and National League winners from 2017 on. The Milwaukee Brewers lead the Reliever of the Month list by club. Earlier recent winners were Emmanuel Clase and Ryan Helsley (2024), Clay Holmes and Tanner Scott (2023), Emmanuel Clase and Camilo Doval (2022), Camilo Doval and Liam Hendriks (2021), and Mike Mayers and Devin Williams (2020). The Reliever of the Month Notes column splits selections by September, May, June, July, August, April, July-August, and March-April. More Reliever of the Month rows fall between 2020 and 2025 than in any other ten-year stretch of the list. Aroldis Chapman (2017) heads the AL side of the list. Sean Doolittle (2017) heads the NL side of the list. Player names link to full career pages, and the Reliever of the Month shows in each winner's awards table there.
