Reliever of the Year Award

About the Reliever of the Year Award list

Baseball Data Hub's records of the Reliever of the Year Award begin in 1976 and reach 2025. The earliest winners were Bill Campbell and Rawly Eastwick. For 2025, the table lists Aroldis Chapman and Edwin Diaz. Dan Quisenberry has the most entries, winning in 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, and 1985. Other repeat winners include Mariano Rivera (1999, 2001, 2004, and 2005), Bruce Sutter (1979, 1981, 1982, and 1984), and Rollie Fingers (1977, 1978, 1980, and 1981). Dan Quisenberry held the award in each season from 1982 to 1985. The League column shows separate American and National League winners from 1976 on. No club turns up in the Reliever of the Year Award Team column as often as the New York Yankees. Going back from there, the list reads Felix Bautista and Devin Williams (2023), Emmanuel Clase and Edwin Diaz (2022), Josh Hader and Liam Hendriks (2021), Liam Hendriks and Devin Williams (2020), and Aroldis Chapman and Josh Hader (2019). By decade, the years 2000 and 2009 hold the most Reliever of the Year Award entries. Bill Campbell (1976) heads the AL side of the list. Rawly Eastwick (1976) heads the NL side of the list. Player names link to full career pages, and the Reliever of the Year Award shows in each winner's awards table there.
