TSN Comeback Player of the Year

About the TSN Comeback Player of the Year list

Baseball Data Hub's records of the TSN Comeback Player of the Year begin in 1965 and reach 2025. Norm Cash and Vern Law head the list chronologically, in 1965. For 2025, the table lists Jacob deGrom and Christian Yelich. No one appears more often than Andres Galarraga, listed in 1993 and 2000. The list also repeats Boog Powell (1966 and 1975), Bret Saberhagen (1987 and 1998), and Buster Posey (2012 and 2021). The League column shows separate American and National League winners from 1965 on. By the Team column, the Los Angeles Dodgers appear more often than any other club on the TSN Comeback Player of the Year list. The years just before that belong to Vladimir Guerrero and Chris Sale (2024), Cody Bellinger and Tyler Glasnow (2023), Brandon Drury and Justin Verlander (2022), Trey Mancini and Buster Posey (2021), and Daniel Bard and Carlos Carrasco (2020). More TSN Comeback Player of the Year rows fall between 2010 and 2019 than in any other ten-year stretch of the list. The first American League row is Norm Cash in 1965. Vern Law (1965) heads the NL side of the list. The TSN Comeback Player of the Year also appears on every winner's profile, under awards.
